We recently used
Orion Studios for tracking a young rock band . The live room
sounded amazing and really made the drum kit come to life with
enough space to cut the rest of the band live off the floor !The ProTools HD rig is state of the art and with lots of great
micsand
instruments combined with picturesque location Orion Recording
Studios has everything
you will ever need. Can't wait to get back there.
Kevin's mobile
studio is great for bands such as ourselves "The Hi-Tones" as there
can be up to eight musicians at times during recording. It is very hard
to find a studio that can cater for this size band (unless you want to
pay mucho Euro). Having Kevin come out to the venue that your
rehearsing or playing live in saves all that hassle. He is able to
capture a great lively sound no matter what size the venue is. His
prices must be one of the best around for what you get. Another added
bonus is that Kevin is also a great musician himself and has an
eclectic taste, so he usually knows the kind of sound you‘re trying to
get whether it be Blues,Jazz,Swing,Folk etc.. He's great to deal with
and always ready to give advice. Highly recommended. We'll be booking
Kevin very soon for our new CD (before the word gets out!!).
The Hi-Tones
We are more than happy to
recommend Kevin Sheahan and his
company Orion Recording Studios, having worked with him many times over
the past year.Kevin offered an excellent service and was capable of
handling several projects we asked of him, from studio voice-over work
to live gig recording. He was thoroughly professional at all times and
the
quality of his work is excellent. As a musician himself, he was also
able to give
really helpful advice and input on a range of issues around recording –
aboveand beyond what we expected. To give an example of the scale of his
work, Kevin recorded our show "Elvis: Past, Present and Future" last May at the Point
Theatre, a very complex project that involved 25 musicians playing live on stage.
We were able to engage Orion again to record a subsequent show in the
Olympia Theatre as well as other recording projects If you need any further
information, feel free to contact me on behalf of the band.
